Does it have a 6pin power connector on the back?
I'de say that's a pretty good OC for a X800XL...they don't OC very far.

6-pin power connector?!?! what? no. this isn't a 9800pro man. there is no extra power connection.

Chill out dude. A few X800XLs have a power connector in the back. Apparently yours doesn't. :)
I'm thinking that OC is about all you're gonna get, minus a volt mod or 2.

ok, that's what i'd like to know how to do then.

Mine does (although it's a standard 4-pin molex connector). So far she does 450/555 quite nicely (although not in the current warm weather with the stock cooler).

Interesting results. I have mine at 468/574 & still working on it. It's watercooled but before that I was running 458/564 with only a modified stock cooler. It does have a 4-pin molex connector on the back of it. BBA X800 XL, no temp sensor.
I see a lot of high OC's on futuremark, I don't know whether they are stable or not, but the clocks are high. Could also be using pelt's & volt modding.
What kind of cooling are you using? I noticed a gain going from air to water already.

Better cooling probably won't get you significantly more MHz. I'll look around and see if I can find that link to volt modding a X800XL.
EDIT: Love that search function :)

i got my connect 3d x800xl oem up to 470 core/600 mem 3d stable. Havent tried to push higer. It doesnt have extra connectors or dual dvi. Its a very simple bare board. If interested i got it from Monarchcomputers. I was surprised how far it went compared to other x800xl.

You, sir, were very lucky. ;)

thanks sir. I think I have some left in the mem. Might be able to push 10 to 15mhz higher. I havent sinked them yet. But hte core is watercooled.

i have everything in my sig...you would know it's watercooled by reading it.
I have the AGP X800XL and it will do 440/555 with the stock cooling , but it does get pretty warm (and will crash on hot days here in Calif) .
450/550 is about an average MAX for any X800XL ; so your in the reqular ball park for an XL overclock .
Maybe with a Silencer on it it MAY help , but not by much if at all . I fiqure a Silencer may only help to keep it more "stable" at a max/higher overclock vs the stock cooler and thats it .
Basicly an XL just wont go too far on oc'ing no matter what you do ; its just a downside of this card .
i just want to know how to volt it, that's it.

You guys DO know that the Mem is multiplied by 2.. so 465 / 572 That is still one good overclock.

click on the linky of my Aquamark3 score and you'll see how high I've gotten it. Of course I'm using a ATI Silencer and a AC duct mod. These cards do have some life in them though. Keep working at it.

DDR (Dual Data Rate) memory. If you're on the OCForums you better know what that is LOL.
Some people say 500, some people say 1000. It's just what your preference is.

^Correct. Most people say the half since that is what your actually seeing when overclocking, you don't see the doubled number. The doubled number is what you see when you buy the product under Spec's. (I have seen someone try to do 800 on the half, DON'T make that mistake haha).
