Looks like we may be able to get back to the 300K area.
I surely hope so once school is back in session. I know I have more than doubled my output as many here have. Just can't keep up with the losses due to summer. We have lost the better part of two hundred folders.
I've just checked a few teams in top10 and htey increase in production a lot. Sometime ago we had similiar production to OCAU and [H] and if things don't change, we'll have to fight for keeping 3rd position.

Anybody have a spare A64-X2 they might want to send my way, I'll be glad to set it aFold :D Iv'e kept 2 Athlon rigs running 24/7 just to keep points rolling in with a P4 pulling extra duty about 14 hours a day.

One can't help but notice Rage and their ever increasing pointage.

It's about as I had predicted. We're actually down about 1100 active cpus. The only thing I didn't see was the [H]ord taking back number one and both team production staying above 400k. I think that was due to the fact that they had allot more POWAH on tap than we had anticipated. I believe they had many 8/5 folders that just went 24/7. We need a contest for Sept/Oct. If we can get a stable base of 300k a contest should push us up to 350k(or even more). Rage is comming I saw that in my crystal ball. We have a nice lead to figure out what we're going to do to hang on to number 3.
I just don't know... We have several folders joining every week and several quiting. It's hard to get hordes of contributors at once, but perhaps we could prevent them from leaving. Anyway it's good that we can observe some small production increase again.
We can try to get new people to folding, but I'll give myself as example: my comp is folding almost 24/7. After mobo replacement I was able to OC it - yay production increase, I've taken my bro's comp to fix it and OC with "folding installation as reweard". I've convinced several pepople to folding for team 32, but what I see now - only one of my friends is still folding. I asked for reason:
- no visible progress in project - people don't see any breakthroughs and loose motivation
- I don't care personal or team points anymore - when they don't see "cause it's good" reason, they stop
- it slows down my comp - yet another BS; after Windows reinstallation and tweaking computer runs fast and smooth, but they don't install FAH again because they're scared
I have no idea how to fix that and what can I do with week production around 2k points... The worst thing is that I can see hundreds of GHz around that are "no no" to folding.

I think you just hit the nail on the head there mate. Out problem isn't recruiting new folders, it's retaining the folders we already have. We need to try instilling some kind of team spirit into them or something. Remind them that if they're competing for points then they should try to compete with other team members. The better we compete internally then the better we are able to compete with other teams externally.

Speaking of which... :burn:

Yeah, me you and travanx are all competing rather closely at the moment. I don't really see this changing unless any one of us can manage to score another decent borg. Hopefully I can replace a few more of these P3 866MHz rigs with A64's.
I'll probably keep using A64's instead of P4's simply from a heat/noise perspective. I can build A64's which are nice and quiet with no detectable heat output folding 24/7.
For this reason, even though the P4's have a performance advantage in folding, I'll probably stick with the A64's for replacements.
I simply have more faith in AMD these days, untill dual core Pentium M's replace the current Intel desktop offerings that is. :p

Good job everyone. Lets keep up the good work and get to 300k average.
Has anyone seen the numbers that the [H]ord have been putting up? OACU has there work cut out for them. 600k in one day for the [H]ord?
