I'm looking for a list of products which are supported with 64bit windows drivers. I thought MS said they had such a list on their website but I cannot find it.

Internal yes, external... no clue. I know it has native support for key drives, mice, etc. I know my cd and dvd burners work fine on it. The only drivers you need to worry about are motherboard, graphics, sound (if you aren't using onboard). Don't even try to look for printer/scanner drivers. And don't bother looking for Linksys drivers.

Thanks Nitro, I've contacted my vid card manufacturer to ask for a 64 bit driver, then I should be good to go.

What chipset is the video card? ATI, Nvidia or other? I know for a fact that ATI and Nvidia have 64-bit drivers.

Card is an ATI Rage XL 8MB server card.

Yikes! ATI hasn't posted any 64bit drivers for the Rage line of cards.

most servers dont need the drivers set from ATI for the 8mb rage - just use the default provided by microsoft on the disk - they should suffice fine -less 3rd party drivers to install - the more stable a server could be.

You were correct. The 64 bit OS fired up without any complaints about my cdrom and video card. Thank you for the guidance, it was on the mark as usual.

i was going to ask this question, but since this thread is already here, would i have any problems with 64-bit drivers with the computer in my sig?
