modifications have been made, here, but only hungarian, but i guess you can understand all the data-s from picture and the text as well. link: http://www.internews.hu/intercool/index.phtml?page=cikk&id=136
what you cannot see, a new thermostat has been placed into the machine switching on the fans on original power at the heat core when the antifreeze-water mix reaches 31C. basicaly works with overrulled original power supplies for the fans with 56Ohm resistances (5W). anyway, if the thermostat is working, or i feel the cpu is overheated, i can overrule the whole electornic with the old turbo button and it`s turn on the fans at maximum voltage.. the text, and only 2 pics are here: http://www.internews.hu/intercool/index.phtml?page=cikk&id=146

just click on: "Következő oldal" on each text`s bottom to get the next page.

i receive every criticism with pleasure, independent if it`s bad or good! if you do not understand something, ask me in email, or wait for the new article about this cooling, but i dont have a camera to take nice pictures.....only photo and scanner... so you and i have to wait about a week...

Looks great! I read this article before. I'd do it, except that I'm not good working with my hands. You might want to smooth out your stuff though. It works great I bet, but it doens't look too smooth, heh. Decorate your case, add some blowholes, shoot it with paintballs and make a nice wondow or something :D

very very nice and clean setup.

the only things i could think of to possibly increase your performance would be to

1. add a reservoir somewhere. though for the life of me i don't know where you'd put it unless you took a small 1/2 - 1 gallon tank fitted to the length and width of your computer case and bolted it flush to the bottom of your case. this would increase the height of your case by a couple of inches but provide the water longer time to cool off. someone called it a "thermal shock" technique. thats one way

2. get rid of the antifreeze in your coolant and use a 3 to 1 ratio of water and methanol alcohol instead. this will improve the viscosity of your coolant and allow you to increase the amount of coolant you are able to pump. if you are going to go this route, it's important to note that methanol (wood) alcohol is thinner then water and improves your viscosity by making your coolant thinner. this allows you to pump more of it. ethanol (grain) alcohol, isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, drinking alcohol, and antifreeze are all thicker then water and will all reduce your pump speed. at any rate, even if you don't decide to use methanol alcohol, i'd get rid of the antifreeze all together if i could anyways. water is the best stuff around for heat transfer. unless you're operating below freezing temperatures, the only thing antifreeze is going to be very good for is to keep your pumps lubed up a little bit and prevent bacterial growth but it is at the cost of a slightly thicker coolant that flows more slowly and doesn't transfer heat quite as well as straight distilled water would.

3. find a way to roughen up the piping inside your radiator. it's alot to explain but the jist behind it is that when moving liquid is flowed through a tube, where the liquid contacts with a non moving surface (such as the inside of your pipe) the surface of your liquid stops moving. this causes whats called a "thermal barrier" to form which decreases your coolants ability to absorb or conduct heat. by roughing up the inside of your piping so it's not smooth, you will create a small amount of turbulence on the surface of the coolant where it touches the walls of your piping. this prevents that thermal barrier from forming and allows your coolant to shed heat more quickly. if you can't find an easy way to roughen up the inside of your piping, a length of wire run all the way through your pipes and left there (one end sticking out of the radiator intake and the other end of the wire sticking out the drain), should be enough to disrupt the thermal barrier from forming and accomplish the same tasks without interfering with the flow of your coolant.

these are some reeeal nit picky things but figured you posted this cause you were out of tweaks to improve your system and were lookin to do something. you've really got a very nice setup and i'm very impressed. please keep us posted. :)

first, i will paint my house black, silver, and will use a cool cu grill for my "blowin" or what is that. i have just cut down the one side of the cover like a real atx house;-]

next, the alcohol + water...before yesterday i have changed into it, so its okay now.
i will try what you had written me, but it will take a lot of time for me, coz i`m trying to make a new cusil water block, the formal plan is here: http://www.internews.hu/pic/cikkek/vizhutes3.99/blokk3.jpg

take care, i will write the new article tomorrow evening gmt, i will send it to joe to post it asap! take care!

ps: i have tried to make a little water tank to advance the water capacity in the cooling, but it has not helped the performance;-[[[[
