Ok guys I have about $500 (little more will not break me) to spend on a vid card. Should I get a X850, X800XL, 6800 U, 7800GTX or what. I know the 7800 is really nice, but I am wondering if it is worth it or if the GT version is coming out.

You have two days to get BFG 7800 GTX for $491 with free shipping from Dell, till July 12th. (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=397933&page=1&pp=30) , that is a thread from the cyber deals section which has a code that gets you a discount on the card and it is still in your budget.

I second the 7800GTX from Dell.

Other than the 7800, what is better, a x800 pro or 6800 U. Got to get card for the old girlfriend too :)

I'm not sure but I think the 6800gt is faster then then x800pro, but the x800xl is faster then both.
