I'll be gone for a bit comin' up the next couple of weeks.
Its official, my wife and I have a house!
I just got the electricity turned on today, and am getting the water and gas turned on tomorrow. Between now and sunday, i'm getting the phone and internet hooked up. I may hafta be gone for a bit till its all done, but once its done, i'll have a nice place of my own, and i'll have a dedicated 'folding room' where i'll have this A64, my wife's sempron, and my old sempron folding (as soon as i get another PSU and HD for my sempron).
Keep me in your thoughts guys.

I can attest to this. I had to add a 9500 btu window ac to my computer room to manage the heat from my farm, which consists of:
2-P4 Northwood rigs
1-Dually AMD
2-Socket 754/mobile A64 machines
2-Nforce2/XP machines
1-socket 939 A64 machine
1-P-M laptop when I'm in from the rig
Congrats on the new house, THF.

Just my Xeon duallie puts out over 500w of heat 24/7. My new 8kBTU AC has its work cut out for it :D
Not to mention our 40°C summers and the western exposure of the house where the room is located

Congrats man, that's always an awesome feeling owning your (first/second...) piece of real estate. If you can get a north facing room for folding, it's great. I have a northeast corner room/office so it's easy to cool in the summer and one of the colder rooms in the winter.

the house is in direct shade all year round. HEHEHE
i'm turning one of the 3 bedrooms into a Folding Den. Putting all 3 compies, all 5 sound systems and such in that room. Now when I listen to a football game on the radio, its gonna sound like i'm actually there!
My wife is gonna get her own 'tv room' to watch soap operas in. And that leaves us 1 bedroom and a guest bedroom. the guest bedroom is gonna probably end up the 'LAN room" for all my bros/friends to come lan in.
Oh yeah.... nice climate controlled house.... in the shade all year.... full house AC.... and in winter time... i'll leave a window open in the Folding room.... keep it nice and even temps all year as the computers will put out enough heat to compensate for the open window.
Oh yeah, Tony.... as soon as everything is settled... i'd invite ya over... but its a bit of a drive from NY to WV... :D

LOL after we bought our first house, I had central air installed. One duct was installed over the rig desk just for those rigs. One day i closed all the vents except the one over the desk. This was no 2 or 2.5 ton unit we're talking about. Its a 4.5 ton unit (for a 1400 sq ft house lol ) It sounded like a hurricane and the temps droppped down below 40*F. That was my coolest folding moment.
Many congrats on the new house. That is arguably the most liberating moment of your life. By all means bask in the joy and cherish the moment  erm a :cookie:

getting phone and dsl set up either today or tomorrow. (it will of course be a week or 2 till the DSL is up because it takes that long for them to ship a modem from wherever to clay county, west virginia)
You got a house with electricity and water! You lucky Bast@rd. Congrats
ps. Can i have your cookies while your gone?
pps. Only a true geek would borg his wifes compy and build a special room for it.
