Looking for a basic CMS

Well, originaly my plan was to turn wordpress into a CMS, but its not exactly easy to do that. I'm hoping there is something out there that is similar to wordpress, but will give me a gallery as well as a blog. Is there?

I found that Drupal was very basic and easy to customise.
