Yeah I tried to play Duke Nukem 3D a few months ago..
I forgot that you cant use the mouse to look up and down like with newer games, Hence i gave up very quickly!
Dammit...I used to play that game for hours at a time over a LAN.

I was gonna get all nostalgic the other day with X-COM: UFO Defense and Terror From the Deep, but the Collector's Edition CD doesn't seem to wanna work with GeForce video cards. It worked with my old voodoo 3, but not with my GeForce 2. And one of my roommates had the same problem with his GeForce2. So I'm sad.

But I've got a CD full of old games. Star Control, Star Control II, Wolfenstein 3D (Registered, all 6 eps!).....list goes on.

I love nostalgia, I wish i could find an old copy of duke 3d. The oldest game that i still play, disregaurding the mame arcade emulators that are technically illeagle, is simcity 2000. I love that game and will never get tired of it, it think its the music i'm addicted to! I lost the original disks long ago but coppied the install off of them and created a zip file which i just transfer everytime i change hd's love that game.:D

Those were all back in 'The Day'.

You know you're getting old when you can remember stuff from back in the day and it brings a tear to your eye as you fondly reminise. *sniff*

I need a moment . . .

I love bringing back those memories! I have over a hundred 1.44 floppies full of games I got back in the late 80's and early 90's when I used to go to BBS's. That's the only reason I haven't thrown away my 486SX. It has 8 megs of ram and 25 mhz. It can't play newer games like Duke 3D, but it can run any game made before about 1994.

Anyone remember a 2D game called Seabattle??? Had 10 or 12 different scenarios based on real surface battles...no detail to speak of, but a helluva lot of fun...As I recall there was nothing so cool as a nice series of torpedo strikes, especially after firing and waiting for several minutes for the fish to travel the distance...
My how far we've come since those old DOS games...:D :D

I remember sitting in front of that game for hours! I think back in 94 or 95! What a cool game. Was it a local store or national? I wouldn't mind playing that again.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
