I know that is isnt the best title but i didnt know what to call it. anyway...
My dad wants a new mobo and i was looking at the AN8-ULTRA. It only has the 4 SATAII ports that the NF4ultra gives it so i was wondering if I could use the raptor HDD with it. I know the SATAII HDD's are supposed to be backwards compatible with SATAI ports but does it work the other way around?

Yes. Both are backwards compatible.

It will work...I am using a Hitachi SATAII drive on my NF7-S right now.

I'm using some Raptors on the intel ICH7R SATAII controller and they work fine and dandy.
