ok...for now i have a coolermaster DP5-6H11 (approved for 1 gig AMD)

anyway...i ordered my koolance setup a while ago...and just recently purchased a new 1.4 thinking that it would arrive beforehand....although im definately havin my doubts (read www.overclock-watercool in vender discussion :()

so...according to radiate with my ambient temp at 21C and core at my mobo default 1.85V n 1400.....

= 80.5 watts....expected temperature = 54C

now if my ambient when up to say...25 (some little kiddie hit the thermostat?)

expected temp = 58C

so...what my question is....should i underclock to a safer temperature until i get watercooling or are these safe and hopefully *stable* temperatures?

doh...i think i meant to put this in the cooling section....

I would underclock it for safety but the highest temps the Athlons can take are up into the high 90Cs so you should be fine without underclocking it!!

If you do decide to underclock expect very stable running!!!:D

heh its ok if you didn't put in the right place the mods will move it if they want to!!

you should be fine at 58C...and i believe default voltage is 1.75 so u might want to check your numbers again (72 watts)

yeah..default is 1.75 but my abit does 1.85....

actually maybe i should try and see if i can lower it a bit....that would bring down the temp a lot....

whoohoo....if i lower the volts another .05 again down to 1.75...theorically my temp should be 51!!! :)

i think i'll be safe afterall

does anyone else love softmenu III as much as i do? :D

you should be fine as long as you dont overclock=]

you can try lapping to bring your temps down 2-3c

If you can take the noise don't bother water cooling just lap your current heatsink and then buy a better one later!

but if he already paid then why go through the hassle of cancelling it? (or better yet, cancel it and order from somewhere else. infotechnow.com had my koolance to me in about a week)
