?? I switched to a 160gb PATA Maxtor in the main rig (in the sig) because between the SATA and NTFS, the 80gb SATA was hard to fix. So, now I decided to put this in another system I have, which has Windows ME on it (hey, it was cheap). Do you have to feed it SATA drivers like you do by F6 in XP? I assume you have to put them on the bootdisk and mod the config.sys accordingly?
TIA

Check out the following Maxtor KB article...

Complete interactive Serial ATA installation guide
http://maxtor.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/maxtor.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2111

...and click on the "Flash video of interactive installation guide" link | "Sata Driver Installation" | "New Operating System Installation" or "Pre Existing Operating System" (depending on whether you're installing WinMe fresh or not) | "Windows 98 SE or Millineum".
