View Full Version : X800 Series Voltmodding question
I have an X800 XT and am able to hit 540/560 with this thing. I can push more, but haven't tried. Now I'm reading about people doing volt mods on these things. My AV8 allows me to change the AGP voltage. Does that not change it? Or is there some resistor or something preventing more than 1.5 volts from going to the card?
The AGP voltage only controls the voltage delivered by the AGP slot itself. VGPU is regulated entirely exclusively of this on the card itself. If you're not ready to solder on your card though, all you really need is a pencil to unleash its potential.
link to pencil mod? thx. :)
Here (http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/voltmods/101) ya go. It can be pretty tedious.

Does this also work with the X850 series?
