I installed linux on my new maxtor hd then later partitioned it and now some linux stuff are stuck in my harddrive, how do you get rid of them?

You'll need to reformat the disk. Grab a bootdisk and do an fdisk in dos. Destroy the partions and then re-do them.
this is what I did i repartioned it then I made it a slave then logged onto win 98 and then formated it by right clicking then format. but those thing are still there cause it says that 32k used.

I have had the same problem. I install linux on a hard drive, but then later I format the hard drive in DOS, then proceed to install 98, it installs, but when I boot up, it boots into linux like nothing ever happend

Xp has been really good to me about deleting linux partitons. It seems to be able to understand them well enought to say BYE BYE!
Get an xp install disk (dosnt even have to be legal) Install xp an use it to nuke the linux partition then if that works just reformat it with 98.
You could also try maxblast or powermax....... Hense maxtor tools work well with maxtor drives :)
