Dual Core and XP Home vs. Pro

Do the dual core processors (either Intel 8xx or AMD X2 processors) require XP Pro to function to their fullest? I know XP Pro has multiprocessor support and Home does not.

since it is still one physical cpu, either will work fine. Think of dual core as Hyperthreading, still works with home.
