Hi all,

Just want to report a successful installation of a Celeron 900 on an old Abit BH6. Replaced a Celeron 566@850.

The specifics:

New stuff:
Celeron 900 SL5LX (1.85v)--- $52.00 (from newegg)
PC133 SDRAM 256MB CL2 Crucial----$36.00 (Crucial)

Replaced:
Celeron 566 SL46T
PC100 SDRAM, 2 128MB sticks, generic

Other components:

Abit Slotket III ( FSB and voltage jumpers on auto)
Alpha Pal6035/Artic Silver
Abit BH6 1.0 (latest bios)
Asus AGP-6800 GeForce DDR
MX-300 soundcard
Intel 10mps phoneline network card

I think this chip could easily do better, unfortunately the highest FSB option in the bios is 133.

Cheers!

well im sure if i had better cooling i could get my chip higher, but right now i cant go past 133 fsb without it doing random reboots, really have not tried all that hard but im happy a a 300mhz overclock.

Thanks!

I lowered the CPU voltage to 1.80, still boots up fine.
No temperature difference between idle or load (seti).

Here's the MBM reading:
