I just modded the BIOS on my 6800gt, I tried flashing to Ultra / with good mem timings, but my card couldn't even handle 400/1100 @ Ultra timings. So, we decided to push the voltage to 1.4v (stock of 1.3) and my card can easily handle 445/1180 in 80f weather  . I went from 400/1100 to 445/1180 with .1 of a volt of an increase. Very Impresssive. I havn't benched yet since its too warm to push 4.25ghz, wil post more results.

I wish they would come up with a tweeker uti that can give more then 1.4V on GPU Vcore.

You can with NiBToR (if thats the name),up to 1.6v. My card couldn't handle 1.6v in the first place ... so yeah :-/

I have NiBitor and it only lets me do 1.4V on my 6800U BIOS as you can see!
Is there something that I'm missing?

Check the box "Extend Voltage Table".

Cool, that gave me 1.5V. I will try to flash it to this Vcore soon as I get my new STATIS C5.
Also, is anyone else running their 6800 with 1.5V or higher?

Ok, I just ran a 3Dmark03 run. With my 14,270 run, I had the 77.30s (Same drivers) @ 4.22Ghz, 430/1.15 (Highest possible overclock for benching, 3D anyways). I just ran this at 4.1ghz, 435/1.15 and I got 14,284. I got 14 points higher, with a 100mhz lower OC on the CPU. I think the reformatt helped. Basically, 14,400 would be a respectable goal.

Ok I am totally new to the whole bios flashing stuff. I have a 6800 Le and would love to put some more voltage through my ram and vcore. Is it easy to flash it? Sorry to thread crap, you just got my attention
I believe u can flash 6800LEs into 6800's (6800NU's)
You can flash a 6800LE to a 6800 Ultra
All the 6800LE are, is a underclocked 6800U, which it didnt pass the nVidia rigorious stress testing. Pull off the heatsink on the 6800LE and the core will say 6800 U
I have a 6800 GT and am also curious. Is this safe? If I trash my video card, I'm going to kill myself.

I OC'd my GT just fine. For now it's at Ultra speeds, but when I get a better sink, I'll probably push it further. I flashed the bios with a modified backup, upped the core .1v, and it runs a degree hotter than it did, no artifacting.
Playing with the core speeds is moderately safe if you do it right, only small increments at a time, stress test after each change. If you mod the bios, I suggest having a PCI video card on hand so if you come across some reason the BIOS doesnt work, you can flash it with the backup.
The RAM timings are better on the GT, so it doesnt make much sense to me to flash it with the Ultra BIOS, plus, an overclock thru software is deffinitely safer and smarter if you're not sure.
There's always a chance that you can ruin your card, but if you're smart about it, you should be ok.
Just remember, it artifacts before it burns.
I'll go ahead and try that Nibitor utility. I'm a whimp. Thanks for your quick answer!

Use nVflash to backup your BIOS first, just in case. I found the latest version didnt work for me, I used 4.42 and everything was great.
Ok, got a problem. I can't get the thing to recognize my video card? Where do I find a .rom file? I searched the website for help and found nothing.

It seems possible with some pencil action. (http://www.vr-zone.com.sg/?i=1912&s=1)
Does Nibitor not work with that bios or something?

You have to have your BIOS (ones you want to modify / flash too) and modify them with NibiTor. Then, you put nvflash w/ the modified BIOS on the bootable floppy, with a few commands boom .. its flashed.

yep me and quite a few more are higher with 6800U LOL top ten 3dmark03 :), the best you can do through bios is 1.5 but with the pencil mod you can go higher but you need watercooling minimum and a winterday to get you above15k
