I Keep running across decent deals at Fry's Electronics...
"Refurb" items:
They seem to be recertified by the MFG and re-sold as OEM. I've had good luck with these items, they are 1/2 price typically and can be found in plain white boxes with small label indicating the product inside. Items can be returned if defective. EX: Regular priced Wireless adapter I bought the other day is $50 +tax. The "refurb" version is $25. You only get 90day warranty and only the bare item, no CD's, manuals etc...fine with me.
Sales+rebates:
They sometimes put items on sale in addition to mfg rebates. I saw and almost bought a Seagate 200gig HD for $60 the other day due to the low price. I work right by one of their stores and browse when I have extra time at lunch, so I come across quite a few deals like this there. Another one was a $50 pc chips Mobo marked down to $14, they were trying to get rid of them I guess? Anyway, I replaced my dads old mobo with that one and had him a working PC again for $14, still works great to this day. Ya I know, it's PcChip so its prolly only worth $14 to begin with, but hey, his computer is fixed and working perfectly for dirt cheap. Anyway, Just thought I'd mention the deals I'd seen there.
