I was in Radio Shack last week and noticed these Thermoelectric cooling modules (I am going to abreviate as TCM). To me it basicly looks like they just transfer heat from one side of the TCM to the other. I am guessing that these would not help any on a CPU sence there is so much heat to move, but I wonder if it would be beneficial to use on a video card. I dont really know anything about these little TCMs so if anyone has experience using them please enlighten me. I am going to go serching on the web now but I thought I would ask here and see if anyone has some first hand experience. Here is the link for the TCM at radio shack. Unfortunately the web page doesnt tell how much heat each one is capable of moving.

That's what a peltier is, also known as a TEC, it isn't the most powerfull though, only 15.4VDC so it would be decent but not top knotch....these things are commonly used amongst us extremists.

I've never used a Pelt myself but from what I've read they do a good job of cooling chips. The cold side gets really cold. So cold that you normally have to protect everything from condensation. The bad part is they also generate alot of heat that you must remove.
