Toshiba 1805with intermittent boot...

I have seen ALOT of posts about this problem, from various web sites, forums and what not.

the post is most evident from a cold cold boot.
click power button, green power led... and nothing

shutdown

click power button, green power led, keyboard bios blink, toshiba POST screen... and nothing

shutdown

click power button, full boot.

this has only just started to happen, i have just replaced the hard disk, and i haven't ruled out a failed hard disk just yet. i will reseat the drive and ram tonight.

anybody seen this, any ideas?

Hard drive was my first guess as well.
