:D :D

Here's mine:

Inno3D Geforce2MX 400:

Winbond 5ns RAM

240/222 is the best I can get w/o 3D artifacts. :)

My Quake3 1.3 demo4 score went from 41.1 to 53.6 fps. Over 12fps diffrence! w00t w00t!

Jeezz man...lay off the viagra!

Can't a guy be proud of his OC??? I mean, damn dude...i only have a 750mhz processor...

I'm just wondering what the highest overclock GF2 MX is!

Is that too much to ask?!?!!?

I had a GF2 MX400 OC'd to ~260/380. It was a helluva card.

Spleen
10-11-01, 02:25 AM
380? wtf?

are you the one who replaced the ram w/ DDR ram you got for free or something?

RedDeathDrinker

Hercules GeF2 MX 400 64 Meg standard core is 175MHz, clocked to 205. Memory from 365MHz to 395 (5ns Hyundai RAM chips)

PII CPU fan on core heatsink, with an 80mm fan blowing across the card.

asmodean
10-11-01, 05:27 AM
So it's a DDR card.

KILLorBE
10-11-01, 05:38 AM
About 9", I could put it on my desk that would make it ~39":D

J/k

But seriously, my card came with the wrong memory (should have gotten the one with Hyundai chips:( ) (Asus V7100)

Got to get myself some AS Epoxy and put on some RAM sinks, then I'll see how high I can get it.

GF2MXddr 220/whatever the max is, 360 or 380 or something. My card's strange, it fully oc's without any problems, or without much performance increase either.

Spleen
10-11-01, 03:39 PM
??

I thought that Geforce2 MX 400s were all SDR ram cards?

And if they wern't SDR, they were 64bit DDR. I'm very confused!!

What software are you guys using???

Spleen

Software?

What prog are you using to change the gpu/memory settings, as the one i have max's at 230/168 ?

Spleen
10-11-01, 06:34 PM
NVMAX

:)

I can go all the way up to 600mhz!!! w00t! lol

BTW, you will only really see an improvement in speed by overclocking the memory of the card. Geforce 2's are very very memory bandwidth limited. Don't sweat over a low GPU overclock.

Annoyingrob
10-11-01, 09:36 PM
600Mhz? Holy ****. I gotta try that out on my MX, the one that goes to like 360 wothout even breaking a sweat.

I'm using Whatever is latest 12.91, or something. I was just using coolbits to OC. Mine is a DDR card, but it's an origional MX, not a 200,or 400. That's why mine is DDR

Spleen
10-11-01, 09:55 PM
Um..dude...DON'T take your card up to even close to 600mhz! lol! The 600mhz setting is for cards like the Geforce3 Ti500! lol

I would have to agree with the spleen.

You might want to work your way up slower than that.

Not sure if you can fry that DDR memory, but that would
be a good way to try !

Re: GF2 MX cards.

Over the past month, I bought 2 el-cheapo cards.
Both cost 69 or 79 bucks. (Found them on pricewatch...)

Inno3d MX400 64mb 200/168 First 1 dead. RMA arrived
after a month.

Jaton MX64 200/334. (WooHoo ! Wasnt expecting ddr ram.)

The Inno3d card has a fan on it, but I get Icon corruption if
I overclock it much at all. (No artifacts though....)

The Jaton had no fan, just a monster heat sink.
It now has a fan, and is running fine. I might overclock it some
more, but I already get average FPS around 95 in UT at
1024x768 with 32bit full detail settings.

Somebody explain again why I should spend $300+ for a GF3 ?

Spleen
10-12-01, 02:10 AM
You should spend $150 for a Geforce3 Ti200 when they cost that much ;)

Annoyingrob
10-12-01, 06:51 AM
lol, I wasn't going to take it up to 600, i was just noticing that it went higher than coolbits, so I should try it out, but not at 600, im not in that great a need for a keychain.

Gravity Man
10-12-01, 04:00 PM
I don't think it would be very easy to fit that keychain in your pocket, nor would it be very comfortable.

Warlord2
10-12-01, 04:42 PM
I can only go to 320/530 on my gf2 ultra I would not recommend trying to go over 500 unless you want to see if you memory can fry:D

I just used Nvmax. Or you can enable overclocking in the display properties by getting coolbits.

Once you do get that enabled, what does it show you for your default memory speed? mine was 184...which was weird, b/c everywerhe i looked, even in the manual that came w/ my card, said that the memory speed was 166.

Plus, I think 5ns ram, only has a rating of 183mhz or something...

how the hell am i able to reach 222mhz?!? (I get 2D glitches at that speed, but not in 3D...i wonder why that is)

My ASUS V7100pro does just fine at gpu=230 and mem=250. I'd try for higher, but ASUS's tweak utility doesn't go any higher. WHat do I have to do to go higher?

You mite wanna try to go to http://www.nvmax.com/
Getting the lastest nVidia drivers(XP Denators)

NVMax is an excellent program I used GeForced OC before then I used NVMAX NvMAx has much more of an option to oc it rather than the one we uses... which are limited to certain speeds, then again I dont think Asus V7100 can go much higher ...

this is from watercooling the ramchips and the GPU....but water is not the best heat transfer device. so i use a blend or some household items......works great, and the gpu runs at 30c during a game and about 21c just sittin in windows

Is that a MX ?
Damn... I was pretty sure that mine was bigger (oc) ...

I've got one of those cheap ones, with squiky 7ns ram.
But the GPU is running very fast. Too bad the GPU alone doesn't make much of a difference...

i get a score of 3700 on 3d mark 2001 at 800/600 32 bit is that any good for this card? When i use nvmax and oc the card i don't get any better of a score. could anyone help me or give me advice? could it be because of my duron cpu? My card is the Gainward gf2 ti/500 xp golden sample with 4.0 ns ram im also using the detonator drivers.

Ok, I'm willing to put my brand new MX 400 card on the line, that my friends bought for me for my B-Day. I really have no interest in seeing framerates the human eye can't detect, but I'll run a couple of benchmarks just to satisfy popular want of useless FPS.
BTW, the only reason I got this card, was because my framerate on 1 CS map dropped to 7 FPS. I don't mind playing as low as 12 FPS, but as soon as it drops below that for more than half a map, I need to upgrade.
