I was just wondering that my sk6 with delta cool my duron 800 and full loaded @ 38c...

And after i clocked to 954... and playing cs my full loaded is around 47....

Plus, i got Arctic sliver II too..

Is it normal?

Your temps seems to be a little on the high side. Make sure you have enough airflow through your system

1. The SK6 is overrated

2. Mabe not enough airflow in case

3. After a good CS binge the cpu SHOULD heat up 4-5c but not that much, id lapp the SK6 and make sure is seated right, apply think layer of AS2 - alot think more is better -it is NOT. Then tyr to see if temps drop

Sorry to knock the Sk6 but i have counted 23 posts saying how my new sk6 is in and why r temps still high at load, they do a good job cooling idle but under load personally i think they are just over cow dung. How can they be that great when there are 23 posts (over time) asking why they dont cool the cpu. Also they got that 7000rpm fan that is noisy and dont really do much. mu Glaciator wiht a 5200rpmn fan out cools every Sk6 that i have seen, and with a slower fan and 6db less noise.

Just get a Glaciator and fix you probs. 1.33@1.5 39c idle adn after 4 hours on CS and 2 hrs of UT its was 41 load- that 6 hours of gaming and only a 2c temp rise - LONG LIVE GLACIATOR (its lapped correctly and i use as2 correctly)

my SK6 is fine, I do the 7v mod for my delta and it is half as noisy as before, and my load temp is 41C , room temp is about 75F

also try to lower your voltage (as low as you can get and still stable) my is about 1.8 right now, it help on the temp (45 load with 1.85v)

SETI all night and at 36C in the morning (my window is open,, good for my comp, bad for me.. :D )

I'm not sure if this will help but try the Reg 52 hack....

http://www.overclockers.com/tips650

There are some other tricks in there you might wanna try. My SK6 w/ YS Tech 40 CFM keeps my TBird 1 GHz @ 1380 to about the same temps under F@H load... and thats with generic white thermal paste. My SK6 needed some slight lapping before I installed it, that might be something to try.

Also if you can lower your room temp I think that might help. Lower the thermostat to about 69 C, your computer(s) will make up for it and keep the room at about 72 or so.

Also a case mod with an 80MM in the side ducted to the processor did wonders for me. My case temps didn't drop a whole lot but my CPU temps did.
