i am currently oc at 1.555 (11.5*135) however, my cpu scores for sandra are lower than the 1.4 scores tom's site had when he reviewed the 1.4. what gives? what is everyone else's scores with sandra and the 1.4?

well toms system is probably tweaked and not much else running when that test was taken, try to run that test and have nothing wlse running taking the cpu power, it does affect it.

mine are still 100-200 points lower than posted. i dont undersand. what else effects the scores? i had it so my system was using 0% of the processor before i ran the test. also i am running win xp if that can make a difference.

i checked with my friends computer, and he is getting 4200 drystone, and 2000 whetstone, and we have the exact same rigs. 8kha with a 1.4. we even have the same steppings. and we are both oc to about 1.53. i set my bios settings to the same as his, but nothing. i am calling all cars for help on this.

Toms was probually running at a higher FSB when the tests were run.I may be wrong but I thought that a computer @ 1.4(10.5x133) and a computer @ 1.4(9.5x147) will have different results, with the higher FSB results being better.

Sorry here are mine @ 145FSB @1530 See my FSB is higher than yours but its at about the same Mhz.

AFAIK, the FSB & multiplier didn't affect my scores at all, but it will affect the memory speed if you benchmark it.

i understand all of this....but what about my friend with the concurrent system? i think my scores used to be a bit higher, but i dont know for sure. could i have damaged the chip without physically damaging it (chipping the core and stuff)? also my temps are around 45c at load. i do run seti all the time, but turn it off for the benchmarks obviously. what can i do?

I'm sure that if you will install Win98 or something like that ur score will be higher than within XP.

show off overclocker....lol!

trance: im kind of interested what you get now at 1.6, i wonder what the difference is between a 1ghz at 1.6 and a 1.2 at 1.6 or a 1.4 at 1.6.

post the scores guys....

cool...glad to see someone with the same board that can post scores. the good thing is i am beating tom's 1.4 which he posted got 3972 drystone by quite a bit because now i just ran the test 5 times and got 4330 drystone everytime, and whetstone averages to 2100 or so.

what bios ver are you running jason?
