Going over (no better title..)

My motherboard can handle PC2100 ram, and for some reason PC2700 is cheaper (same brand). I'm wondering if my motherboard will just bottleneck it, and if it will fit and work as good as PC2100.

It'll work just as well as PC2100. It'll be running slower than it's supposed to, but that gives you some headroom.

its cheaper and i guess if it works as highest my board can handle, then ill stick with it.
