well i just got my ultra, and even thought its running a bit hot right now, i would expect that i should have no problems

well when i play farcry, it sometimes puases, and the sound studders, and then it goes back to normal, but its pretty annoying, any ideas why? and how i can fix it?

edit: i am using the 1.3 patch, and i am using the 71.89 drivers

Err, try 1.32 patch?

well i tried that and it helped, but whenever i fist start playing the game, it seems to hang a bit, and then plays great after that, its like its trying to load textures or something

Yeah happens to me too, just a little stutter at the beginning but after that everything's been fine for me. Incredibly hard game..

yeah i agree, i am at that part where all the trigens break out, man i spooked myself quite a few times last night :D

i was reading something about changing the AGP apeture size lower, to 64mb, and i tried that and it helped.

i still getting 1 or 2 puases in the game, but thats it, and i wonder if it is heat related

hmm, well i got a new problem, far cry now seems to have a light flare issue, after about 30 seconds of playing it does this

any ideas, i ran driver cleaner and everything after changing drivers

but right now i am using the 77.72 drivers, any ideas?

In regard to your stuttering...even my SLI rig (dual 6800GTs, 2GB, 3700+, SATA RAID) stutters in FarCry very occasionally, but especially after first starting a level. I think that the system's trying to catch up, since FarCry requires some bigtime textures and a lot of other big things to do its work.

And yes it could certainly be heat-related.

well i think i got my temps down finaly (turn up the AC :D)

and after playing HDR i found out it was an issue with the 77.72 and 77.86(b) drivers, so i rolled them back to the 71.89 drivers and it fixed the issue with HDR, and its not as bad anymore, it does just like what you said captian newbie, studders at the very first of the level, and thats it
