Polk R50 @ frys!!

i went to frys today and found the POLK R50 for 70 bucks each. normally they're 130 i think.

do u guys think its a good deal or what? cuz serious, just to build something like this would cost more then 70 bucks, the speakers and tweeter alone probably cost 50, the vinyl is about 10bucks, the box is pretty solid too. even has a second order crossover. think its a good buy?

Polk's are awsome.. I have a 8" powered sub and it drops so low and hits pretty dam hard for it's size. Polk is #1 in home audio to me but like I said before I havent checked out all the new gear in awhile.

I think that is a awsome deal. Is this a walk in deal only or can you get them off their website?

I wouldn't say Polk is #1 in home audio, as that's a pretty large statement... but they make decent sound speakers. Zabombs right though, speakers vary greatly from one set to the next - if at all possible try before you buy! ;)

i did try them and they sound pretty good, they sound like my R15 but with a lot more bass and midrange. it may look cheap but i've been them apart before, the driver is huge and has a huge magnet. its very accurate and clean. and of course the box is a nice thick mdf wood and the finish is very clean. bestbuy and circuitcity does cary them, but at about double the price ;) i want to go back tomorrow and get them, but i just blew 300 bucks on a new sub (in the mail) :( :( :( damn this obsession

Urmm.. can we read the entire statement next time? :D But I know i have been wantin some tower speakers.. but my computer is a little more important.. currently i am runnin what i have in my sig as far as comp and sound system.
