as the title says, i'm either gonna get a third MCP655/D5 when i have the funds, or i'll sell my 2 existing MCP655's and get a Iwaki MD-20RZ

what do you guys think? (i can never make up my mind :bang head)

I think one MD-20RZ. However I do remember Cathar saying that the RD-20 at 21V is very close to his definition of a perfect pump. I think it was in the Dream Pump thread that happened like yesterday.

I'd try to get my hands on an RD-20/30 first of all. If that fell through, I'd go with the MD-20RZ over the 3x MCP655s. You have tons of space in your UFO cube for it, and you'll cut back on some tubing as well.

If im not satisfied with my 2x MCP655's, i'll be looking this route as well.

:D You might as well bite the bullet and get the MD-20RZ--it'll be a lot cleaner install than 3 D5s. The RD series pumps would be even better in some respects, but then you'd need a suplimentary 24V PSU so I don't know if it would be worth the extra expense/complexity--now if you could get a 12V version....

One thing to keep in mind with the MD-20RZ is that it does run hot. It would need to be located on the right side of the cube (with the drives) and placed so that there was good airflow over it. I'm working on better cooling for mine right now, although the sectioned aspect of Lian-Li helps keep that heat away from CPU/GPU so it hasn't been a major factor in actual running temps.

I would get Iwaki over 3 D5, you can save alot of space with Iwaki and also too much trouble w/ 3 pumps (alot of space needed and too much tubing to connect :( )

i would get a RD-30, but $200 something for the pump, and another $60 or so for the 24v PSU... sure its tempting, but just not realistic with my current budget

The one iwaki md-20rz would make for a lot easier tubing and would also probably perform better than trying to go with three pumps in series.

If you keep an eye out, MD-20RZ pumps show up on eBay every so often for half the cost of a new one. Just don't get impatient and get a 30RZ or any other Iwaki; I almost did and forum member showed me some charts Cathar had made with the Laing pumps and the Iwakis. The 30RZ dumps enough heat into the loop to justify using only one MCP655, so that's the route I went instead.
