Empire Earth 2 - any good?

I've been thinking of buying EEII for a while now. But I've read mixed reviews.

PC Gamer and other respected reviewers give it a good, sound review - but not an outstanding one. They say that while the game is great, it could be better.

But these aren't much use either - all the bad reviews seem to be from complete idiots who have crap systems and blame the game. :bang head

So - do any of you guys have it? What's it like? One thing I did read from amazon.com is that you can no longer create your own custom civilisation. Is this true? If it is, that's a bit annoying. :(

Anyway, just how good is this game?

From what i seen, no you can't create your own civilisation. I've got to say that like the PC Gamer guys, i think it could've been much better, but it's still pretty fun. The multiplayer is worth it imo, but i found the single player kinda boring.


Basically, it's a game just average, not great, not bad. I think there is still a demo version you could try out somewhere on the 'net. You might wanna check it out before buying.
