I had a chance to put in all the parts for my new computer today (Dual Opteron 246's, Asus K8N-DL, 2gb RAM, Radeon x800XL) and it's awesome so far....except that the power light on the case doesn't work.
I'm pretty sure I have the 2 wires coming from the case to the mobo plugged in right, and even if I don't I've tried every possible combination but nothing has worked.
On the motherboard there are three pins for the power led, and the mobo manual said the first and third are the important ones. My case has 2 separate wires for power, one with + and one with -. It seems that it should be correct to have the + on the first pin and the - on the third, according to the manual.
Just to make sure the Led wasn't busted, I connected the power wire from my old case to the new motherboard, but still nothing. Could the pins on the motherboard for the power Led possibly be broken?? :bang head The HDD led works fine.
