My current ISP is a small, local deal that is ran rather amaturishly, but they have the bandwidth. The problem is that the guy who runs it doesn't really seem to "get" the threat of MAC spoofing. I've recently been having erratic internet connection, and my Firewall is warning me that someone on the network is using my MAC addy (or something like that). Our IP Addys are static and assigned to individual MAC addresses. My question; Is there anyway to detect a computer that is MAC spoofing on a wired network/LAN? Can you single out someone to their IP, or get their real MAC address so you can bust them?
