I have a SK-6 with a Delta 60x60x25 38cfm fan. My temps when playing games are 48-51c. Will a 50cfm fan help bring temps down a little more? My case is an Enlight Mid-tower case.

I currenly have to run with the case side off to keep the temps down. Inside the case, I have a Delta 7000rpm blowing air across the heatsink front the middle of my case. I also have a 2500 RPM fan in the botton front of the case and another one in the upper back of the case. Additionally, I have strapped on a 4500rpm fan blowing hot air out of the case on the side of the case where the cover is off. I also have a Enermax Powersuppy that has a fan sucking air up and out the back.

I was concidering adding a blowhole to the top blowing hot air out and one on the side of case sucking air in, however, I dont have the tools to make the holes other than a drill.

Any suggestions for a guy with little or no more money to spend?

 You need to get some air flowing through that case. I don't reccomend having the case open for many reasons. See if you can get some fans, or a least one 80mm sucking air out the back near the CPU. Also some air coming in from the front or side blowing over the PCI/AGP slots. See if you can borrow a jigsaw or dremmel to cut the holes, that would be perfect.

Take your time with it and go in with a plan. Theres lots of advice on this site on how to do it right. Good-luck.

Don't get that 50cfm Delta because it's really noisy. Instead, get the Delta 68cfm. Equal performance with much less noise. Did you know that you can use any 80mm fan with the SK6? No adapter required.

yeah it is pretty easy and I believe 1.4 and above almost require water or 80mm fan. just my 2cents but I am thinking about vaporchill because I want low temps and high speeds. just trying to help the economy :)

the SK-6 is near its peak performance. I doubt you will see a huge increase in temps with better airflow from its fan. As far as modding tools go, go to radio shack and get a nibbler. They are $10 and will make the holes in the case very nicely. They are slower and require more work, but they get the job done and are really cheap!

get a panaflo 80mm fan. very high cfm, and very low noise

Dont you need a funnel or a mod to get the Delta 68cfn fan to work on a SK-6? I thought the Delta 68cfm was a 80mm fan. I need a 60mm fan to fit my SK-6.

No funnel/adapter/mod required. Just turn the fan diagonally (45 degrees) and pull the clips over the 2 opposite corners of the fan.
