is my 6600gt dead?

i went to bed lastnight only to wake up and find that my screen was blank on my comp, so i restart and its the same thing. my machine is still booting into windows becasue i can hear all the sounds windows makes when booting up. so is the card dead? it has been running 550-1100 under reasonable, but not great temps with stock xfx cooling for about 6 months, and technically the card is sending out some signal, a blank one, because my monitor tells me if there no signal at all.

im sure u would've done it already, but did u try reseating? maybe check it in another system?

yup, reseated the thing, cleared cmos for the hell of it, but unfortunatly i do not have the option of testing in another system right now, my dad wont let me open his comp, ever!

I think is very unlikely that it died like that. But if it did you should be able to RMA it.
