1gb HyperX Mods in Abit IS7

Hi all,

Recently replaced my 4 256K HyperX mods with 2 1GB modules, using slot 1 and 3 for dual channel. When I play EQ2, my system reboots in anywhere from 1 to 10 min. I called Kingston Tech support and they say I need to put modules in slot 1 and 2. My question is, is this correct? And if it is, how much of a performance hit will I take by doing away with dual channel, but doubling the RAM to 2gb? Thanks so much for your help!

Ok, have you tested with memtest?

overclocked or stock speeds??
is your system also overclocked?

Ran memtest and system froze. At this point, I took all settings back to stock. I did try to move the ram into slots 1 and 2, and although not running long yet, system has not rebooted, but of course, I have no dual channel. Thanks your your help!
