I haven't got this driver installed when I installed the 5.10 driver but has anyone ever got it up & running on there system. I do remember reading the fine print to it and it says that it may cause some data errors called ERRETA. It also free's up the bottle neck to the CPU I got this working when I first had my PC up & running last year.
But it caused my at the time old 52x CD-ROM and 52x Philips CD-RW Drive not to read or burn properly.
Just wondered if anyone ever got it working.
I use those drivers for my DFI nF3 in my sig, working fine for me.

No burning problems or anything like that my motherboard has an nForce2 Ultra 400 so it might not work with nForce2 boards since people had problems with it before.

I tried a few different releases of the Nvidia SW Ide driver on my Nforce2 (NF7-S) board and has nothing but problems. On My Nforce4 board they work great.

i currently use em for my board in sig... no probs period.
I;ve used those drivers on Nf2 and nf3 chipsetts without a problem, I believe its isolated to the ROMS itself.
When I had my ABit An7 socket A board I used to visit the ABIt forums alot, those guys are all good dudes.
Anyway some of the more knowledgable guys with the same board as me swore up and down that the 5.10 IDE drivers were junk and that they had to roll back to MS's IDE drivers. I used the 5.10's without a problem.
We all had different roms though, maybe thats it ??

I've always stayed away from them. They seem to have given me nothing but problems and the ones windows has slapped in there have worked well enough for me

same thing happens here on my old NF7-s. If you have nforce2 avoid them.
I had problems with burning because it recognizes my burner as SCSI device.

Mine did that too, but other than showing the DVDRW drive 2x in My Computer as a CDR and A DVD drive I haven't noticed any issues. It says it's SCSI too.
