I need to pick up some OCZ pc3200 Platinum rev 2 and I was wondering where the best place to get them from where. I found them at newegg.com for 165 with a $20 mir that brings it down to $145. You all know any where better?

I doubt you'll find a better deal. Plus, newegg has a good RMA service and fast shipping.

Wow I almost bought this memory the other day. Good thing I waited and props to you for pointing out the 20 MIR. Just saved myself $20 + the lower price of $2.50 :)

Well I am going to write a review on this ram when i get it. I am making a website to go along with this forum for people to post reviews, how-to-guides, and moding stuff. Not going to post site yet as it is still rough and I do not want to use my favorite forum as a way to spam. I will keep everyone posted though.

Why don't you just submit a review to overclockers.com our parent site? people that started this forums also started overclockers and several of the articles are by people in this forum.

I was looking at this deal aswell, but can't decide between two other 1Gb kits from OCZ.

I'm looking to upgrade to a 3000+ Venice soon and planned on oc'ing it, but would I be saving money by just getting OCZ's value ram?: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227213

I also saw recommendations on the Gold Series for $140...

what would any of you recommend?
I would definately get the platinums over the two memory kits you listed.

The platinum rev 2's or the pc3200 gold would be your best bet if you plan on overclocking. Just remember that the gold needs more voltage to overclock than the platinum, but it holds tighter timings as well.

Would a Antec 430 TruePower psu and the nforce4 DFI ultra mobo be sufficient for giving it the voltage it needs? I don't think I use much of the power.
