I am tried of my slow raid and I'm ready to do something about it. So i started looking into it and I hear flash is alot faster than hard drive could this be a alterative? I've also seen these external raid boxes that hold 4 hard drives. I'd go with that if it took like 4 ata drives and have a sata2 port coming out the back of it because i figuer most drives get 60 Mb/s so sata2 would be perfect(if anybody has seen something like that please tell me where) then i could get 4 boxes, fill them with 10GB,20GB hard drives and run them all to a DFI motherboard and do another hardware raid.
It comes down to this I'm looking fast storage, not worried about fault tolerance.

Really, you are making things difficult for yourself with no real pay off. If you want pure speed you need to bypass whatever small drives you are looking at and go for the gold. Even two Raptors in raid 0 will be faster then four of the drives you are proposing.
Hell, if you want to be differant use some 15,000rpm scsi drives.
