Like the title of the post says, I'm looking for a budget sound card. Right now I'm using my crappy onboard audio from my motherboard, and it doesn't produce the great quality that should be coming out of my awesome Logitech Z2200 2.1 speakers. Well I used most of my current job money to get myself a pretty new 19-inch LCD so I need something that's around the price of $75. Yes, I'm cheap but the monitor really broke my wallet ($340). I would like something, like I said $75 or under and preferably made for 2.1. Thanks.

There's also 2 value versions for $50 and $60 respectively that are without certain features.
Ebay might have some turtle beach santa cruz cards. They're STILL a good performing card despite being built on 3 year old technology!

You mean stereo with subwoofer channel? Don't think they make those.
In a stereo set up that split is usually a function of the sub itself, right?
You want a cheap but good card, look at the Turtle Beach RIVIERA 6 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829118103

Have used that Chaintech before & it's a good card. Missed it at the Egg before.
Agree about the Audigy/Creative cards. Don't understand why they are so popular. Market saturation I guess.

I love my chaintech....30 bucks and it';s better than the audigy I owned...less conflicts and sounds great.

I replaced an Audigy with my chaintech as well and I couldn't be happier.
