I bought a new Gateway 7426GX laptop about a month ago. And recently it has developed a wierd beeping issue. When I turn it on first thing in the morning, it will beep like so: beep...beep beep beep...beep beep beep beep...beep beep beep. The power light stays on and it just idles with a black screen. If I manually turn it off, remove the battery, clear the circuits (hold power button 5-10 seconds), and then replace the battery, it boots up just fine. Other than that the laptop runs great.
Whether or not i leave it plugged in overnight doesnt matter. The manual offers no help with this issue, Gateway was also unable to give me a straight answer.
