hey all.
have bought a new cpu, a 2.8c p4 to replace the celeron d im using at the moment. naturally i wana overclock bt im gna need some capable ddr400 to even get the damn thing to run at stock let alone overclocked!
the ram i've got access to is:
512mb v-data-pc3200-rated at 3.4.4.8 runs at 2.5.3.3.6 at ddr400 been up to about 217mhz at stock volts and 2.5.3.3.6
512mb twinmos-pc2100-rated at 2.5.3.3.6-runs at 2.5.3.3.6 at 180mhz at stock volts
2x512mb buffalo tech/infineon-pc3200-rated at 3.3.3.6. ran at 225mhz at 2.8v at 2.5.3.3.6
first of all....
which combination of sticks would be ideal for overclocking? im guessing buffalo tech?
also, would it kill my overclock if i used all 4 dimms or all 3?(minus twinmos)
what would be advantages to me of using 2gb/1.5gb?
also, what would be a safe max voltage for the dimms?board goes up to about 3v i think.
thnx.
