You know how you can get these little heating elements for an aquarium? Well, is there an equivalent device to cool the water? I don't feel like building a TEC and was wondering if I can buy a commercially available, cheap ($20-$30) solution.

The use is obvious of course. I want to cool the water in an external tank for a water block, but I don't want to go too far below ambient. I just want to gain a few more degrees of cooling without having to worry about condensation.

I remember seeing them when I bought my pump at petwarehouse.com. They were expensive.

what if you made a system that ran freon, or i think it is r-34 the stuff you can buy without a special license, and put a tube into the water, then the tube that has the r-34 system hooked up to it, would take heat out of the water, not sure if i am right or not but maybe it would work.

Look up at the post called Wow check this thing out. Has something you might be able to use. Looks pretty spiffy. Expensive though.

Looks like I'm better off making it myself. Chillers seem to be pretty expensive. And that ice stick is just a TEC with a heatsink and fan :) Oh well.

Thanks anyways guys.
