just as my topic says
i did this is win98se before with partition magic but now i cant even install it in win2k
is there any possible way for me to move some space back to my C drive..i only have 7x mb left but my D partition have over 5GB space
thx
When my drive got that full, I just backuped the files I wanted, and then formatted the HD. Of couse, since you have 5Gb free on the other partiton..... I'd say either start installing stuff on your D: drive, or delete some stuff and then re-install partition magic. Can you just move some programs over to the D drive instead of deleting them?

Have you searched around the C: drive looking for stuff you could delete? If you don't clean it up it can fill up quickly. As far as resizing the partition I can't help you with that.
You should be able to repartition it. Ideally get norton ghost and use a spare 10GB HDD. Image D to a file on the spare HDD, and delete D. Make a new D (suitably smaller) and copy the stuff back. Image C to a file on the spare HDD, resize C and then copy back. It can be (and has been) done.

well is it possible if i just backup some stuff i need on C then format C and install win98 so i can use partition magic to resize then format again and install win2k?
I don't know about the current versions of Partition Magic but I had a version when fat32 was new on the block and at that time I was using OS/2 WARP with a HPFS partition and I could do anything with Partition Magic back then. Assuming they've kept up with the specific demands of the new os's I'd think that still applys.
