I would caution anyone wanting to buy one of these to check Plextor's website for the motherboard compatibility list before buying. I picked one up at Fry's a while back, and went through Hell and high water trying to get it to work and never could. My motherboard wasn't on the compatibility list, which doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work, just that it hasn't been tested. I decided to give it a go, and after spending hours on the phone with tech support, various forums, and just messing with settings I gave up and took it back. I couldn't even get my comp to load into Windows with the thing plugged in. Great deal if you can get it working though. Good luck. :)

and FYI they offer nothing more than a regular IDE Dvd burner can provide besides the Sata Cable airflow properities

They actualy have a new one that is slot loading. I would love to have two of those.
