Wonder what you guys might think of this situation:
I have a 1 gig kit (2x512mb) of Patriot PC3200+XBL and for some strange reason it fails everytime in memtest #8 on the first pass and then there after with no overclocking at all on my DFI NF3 Ultra-D Socket 939 motherboard with a SD 4000+ 939 chipset.

Now if i use this exact memory on my DFI NF3 Ultra 250gb Socket 754 motherboard with a 3700+ 754 chipset it works flawless no errors, it's even overclocked too 250x10 2500 \ 250x3x2 =1500 \2.5-2-6-3.

So do you think the memory is bad or is it something eles???? I have requested an RMA but not sure if it's the memory.

Right now i'm using GSkill PC4400LE on the Ultra-D at 260X10=2600 260x3x2=1560 2.5\3\6\3 and this stuff passes memtest #5 and #8 for 24 hours straight :)

So tell me what you think Should i RMA it or Not ????? Thanks Scott

The NF3 Ultra-D had a global RMA or something, a second revision is in the works... send it back so you won't have to deal with the headaches

Mate,

The Pats seem to respond well to voltage. Try 2.9V and watch it fly. I'm at 2.5-4-3-9-1T @ DDR600. I've had 3 gigs of this RAM and every single set does the same. Statistically speaking, it is very impressive. Certainly hangs with the big boys i.e OCZ, Corsair and GSkill.
