http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817194001 one day sale. i know its a bit expensive but this is one heck of a power supply (could be nice for someone with a super high end system) and a good price for it too.

God i am such a showoff ~_~ sry for that lol.

but anyway, it's a pretty annoying and gay story.

my 420 watt psu was about to die out, so i ordered an x-connect 500 watt (this was in november when they had good ones.) Anyway, I saw a contest on GvL (Gruntville.com) that ACRyan partnered with them to give away a 450 watt PSU (actually it was supposed to be a 550 watt, but he sent me a 450, but w/e works.)

Anyway, like 1 1/2 months I had the PSU (note by this point, my x-connect was sold.) Anyway the PSU made a huge pop noise, so I had to guess something blew up on me. No power was coming from the PSU or into the mobo at all. I thought the PSU took my compontments... but luckily I tested it with my mom's PSU, and it booted fine.

Rewind a little bit... I had to wait about 1 month before the PSU even came, and I was without my rig for 1 month ;( such a long time for me haha....

Alright going forward again, I've been waiting for like 3 weeks. The PSU was shipped about a week ago and is expected to come tomorrow. He sent me the noisetaker on the newegg site, MODDED out big time. New fans, acrylic, sleeved wires... the works. All at no cost.

He also burned in the PSU to make sure it wouldn't blow up this time.

The great part? He didn't make me ship the damn AC Ryan PSU to the netherlands to give another week/2 week delay... great company they're.

My only buff is my sister got my camera stolen so I won't be able to snap pics of the PSU and it in action :(

Other than that, I am a really happy camper. I feel like I won the eVGA contest :P
