Ok, my new motherboard supports dual channel ram.

I've currently got a dual channel kit on the way, 2x 512, and I have one stick of
Kingston Value Ram KVR400Xc3A/512 512mb
I've searched newegg and various other places and can't find this model of RAM anywhere, not even Kingston's website. Could I simply purchase another stick of 512mb ram (same speed) and run 2gigs in dual channel? Or would I have to find another stick the exact same as this stick?

Well, to run 4x512 sticks, you would have to run them with 2t. Not worth it IMO.

If you are really looking to do 2gig's right, you would want 2x1gig sticks.

Matching a Kingston KVR stick is not easy as the chips change a lot, and yes you would need an exact match. Superjed is right 4x512 would run at 2t. However, if you have a Winchester core, it will run at 333MHz. It will only run 400MHz on a Venice.
