Hi guys. I am putting together a new computer, and it's going to be my first watercooled PC. I want to watercool mainly for silence, but I also want to run a dual-core processor at FX-57 speed. I'll use this computer for gaming mostly. My budget is high, and not limited...I just want the best equipment. I plan on building this PC in a Soldam case, and I'm willing to modify/cut it up.

Here are the main parts that will make up the computer.

-A8N-SLI Premium (also have a DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR, but I'll probably use the A8N)
-AMD Athlon 64 4800+ X2 Dual-Core Processor (Overclocked)
-Two 7800 GTXs in SLi
-2 or 4 WD Raptor WD740GD HDs in RAID0, and 1 Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 400GB

I have been reading about the different types of systems...low flow, and high flow, but am undecided, although I know to basically not mix them. I've seen some massive 3/4" OD tubing in some guys systems, and I seen some 1/4" ID tubing in some. I want to watercool my processor, chipset, and both video cards. I'm still undecided on what pump and radiator I'll use, and what blocks I'll use. I want to fit everything in the case...would it be OK to cut 2 120mm fan holes in the bottom of the case, and mount the radiator on the bottom? Please let me know what you think...what dia tubing, low/high flow, what pump? Thanks guys!

I was thinking of...

Dual 120mm Radiator
Innovatek Eheim 12v Pump (or two if needed?)
Danger Den NV-78 Block or Innovatek Cool-Matic NV40LT
Danger Den Silver TDX Block
Danger Den ASUS A8N MAZE4 Chipset Block

i have 7800 in sli

and one of the first things to look at will be the right kinder block as
there are ram chips in the back of the card that will interfear with the block once
you put a heat sink on

i will post you a image later if you want one

Recommend a duel or triple 120mm rad/heatercore, Swiftech Storm for the cpu, Danger den low profile Maze 4 gpu cooler, D5 pump, and 1/2 or 7/16ths ID tubing.

I am curious, I just upgraded to a 4400 x2 and dual 7800 gtx's. Can I run the SLI card cooler kit that Danger Den has or is the spacing to wide between the cards?
This one here Card Cooler (http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=195&cat=67&page=1)

If you have th emoney to buy that setup (and didnt just blow your life-savings on it) then I will recommend you this setup.
Swiftech Storm or G5
Thermochill 120.3 with 3 or 6 high pressure fans
2 Maze4 Acetal or Silverprop blocks if they fit.
Get yourself either an Iwaki of the better kind, or 2 D5s and watch this bird fly.

So the dangerden kit will work on that MOBO right? I have a bxe2 for the vidcards.....Im just wondering if the slick dual card cooler kit will work on the asus board.

I THINK the NV78 SLI kit will run just fine on the A8N. If you want to be sure contact DD support.

The DD site lists compatible MB's for the SLI setup.
A8N is listed as compatible.

Cool, now one last question......will the nv78 kit get me better cooling performance then the maze 4 acetal topped units will? Just wondering....my card seems to be the hottest thing in my case and im wondering if I should cool it all or just the cpu? The Heat seems to generate at the rear of the card by the power imput or by the ram modules in the rear. Im just tired of my cards being at 60*C or Higher.

I think you would be just as fine if you replaced the memory coolers with some decent copper bga ram sinks and got a maze4 on there. could be wrong though, I have just heard that you don't get that large of a performance increase with the nv78.

my ram is passevly cooled on my gtx. and the core loads @ 38c :)
that full size cooler isn't worth $130 imo..just get some nice copper ramsinks :D

It's one way of doing things, yeah. But since water-cooling is a hobby as much as a form of thermal management, I don't think there is truly a such thing as consensus.
