Hehehe damn thats pretty bad!
But considering that its been a whole year that is pretty good. It's summer time here and I have 2 cats that shed like there is a no tommorow so mine would probably look like that in about 2 months!
But out the canned air and vacuum!

smesx1- I thank you.
Finally someone who makes me feel good about how often I clean things out. ;)
I have had some rads, fans and sinks get bad but that is simply incredible!
I am pretty amazed that the thing was still running ok.
Edit: re-read and you had answered my question. ;)
46c with all that crud really isn't too bad.......
Clean and 40c is better of course, lol.
Thanks for sharing those images, man: never seen a better reminder for PC Housekeeping. :)
well that was a years worth of dorm dust and back home i have 2 cats and a dog. Load temp was 46 with all that crap

Wow, thats a lot of dust. How did that much build up? Is your computer on the floor?
holy **** dude, lol. thats all i have to say honestly
i have my dryer running to it so it doubles as a lint trap. jk yes its always on the floor
but in reality i just didnt have time to take everything apart until now. I know that it has been needing it for the last 6 months.
Ive taken some computers apart where i work at and they hadnt been cleaned for probly 5+ years. They put my little dust bunny to shame.

Nice temp drop from cleaning it though.

atleast that was only in the radiator... I opened my sister's two year old comp one day and a fourth of the case must have been dust (I could barely see the cpu heatsink).

are you serious, 1 year? are you a smoker?
I can see that from 1 year of dorm dust. My dorm is dusty too. I took my comp home on break and cleaned the rad with an air compressor in the garage.

Yeah, he's a smoker. That's not actually a dust bunny - his radiator got cancer.

Don't feed the dust bunny. It will only breed more dust bunnies.
I recently worked on a computer for a friend of mine. He said that it just stopped working. Everyone in their house smokes like chimneys. I opened the case, and oh my...
You couldn't see the heatsink for the tarred-up goo. I had to take apart the PSU completely just to get the tar-dust slime out of it. After blowing/vacuuming/blowing/vacuuming again (outside on the front porch), I had to wipe the entire inside out due to the tar. After I put it all back together, it worked fine. It must have been totally overheating. That sure reinforced to me why I won't even take a puff!
This dust thing is one reason that I went to a passive car rad setup ("http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=401801) with only one undervolted case intake fan/filter and two undervolted exhaust fans (+ quiet PSU). It is wonderfully quiet also.

Insane, man! I tweak with stuff far too often for this to ever happen to me, though. I'm never satisfied with my component orientation!
btw: That air duster looks like the kind walmart sells. If you can find a costco nearby you can score a whole pack of six for a great deal (kirkland brand).
Love the look of your tubing; nice, minimal and clean!
ROFL! thats worse than nikhsub1's triple rad after a year (though he did have air filters over all his intakes)
