Firefox. Downloads are not resuming!

I had to pause a firefox download, and when I hit resume, it never resumes, I just see this:

Does anyone know how I can fix this without losing the 30 percent I already have?

Oh, and when I try to go get a new download of the same thing it just starts another one changing the 5 to a 6. :mad: Always when I download something I waste a huge amount of my time on it then something stupid happens like this, or I accidentally close it, or something. Downloading something now gets me so nervous I am more careful than walking a thin layer of ice with poisonous spikes below it, and right now the ICE IS CRACKING.

I have same problam, I think firefox just does not have a good resume feature. You can try download manager, its what I used to use. Works great for me since im on 56k, or try the getright plugin for firefox. As for saving the file, not sure. You could try redownloading it, picking where to save to, and pick over the old file.

Oh well, I ended up losing it. Thanks for your help. When I tried downloading a new one it renamed the 5 to a 6. So I saw the file on my desktop, the partially downloaded one, and I tried clearing the one that didnt go from the firefox thing. It deleted the partially done file. Oh well. :-/
