I would guess that the vast majority of users of this forum have built at least one system. I would like some feedback for online sources for components that have a good reputation for both good pricing and customer service. Such as Newegg. I am looking to build a backup/secondary gaming rig. There must be other sources out there. Tigerdirect has good pricing on many barebones systems but I hear their rebate policy sucks and they charge more for shipping than Newegg. Just looking for some alternatives.

Any comments appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

FrozenCPU (http://www.frozencpu.com/) has what they claim to be the largest selection of Computer Modding Supplies.

NewEgg may have slightly higher prices than others, but they are so professional at their business, that I don't mind spending a couple extra dollars.

I'm gonna give you some company names for you to google. It would take me hours to link everything.

Zipzoomfly
SVC (Low Prices)
Jab-Tech
KickAssGameingPC
CoolerGuys (A good place to buy from)
CrazyPC (Another good place to buy from)
Directron
EastLuna
Xoxide (I could spend hours looking through their items)

That should get you everything under the Sun.

Sir Google is your friend.

Thanks for the info. I love Newegg I just wish I didn't have to pay the sales tax. Being in Kaalifornua I must add 8.25% to every dollar I spend and even though Newegg's pricing is competitive, I wonder if there is something similar out of state so I don't have to continue to support the lame DMV, Caltrans, MetroLink, etc, etc,

I just ordered some stuff from performance-pcs, they seem to have a pretty extensive selection, although they're in FL, so shipping might take a while.

Performance-pcs is a dream to deal with. I remember last year during huricane season i ordered about $20 worth of stuff. They lost power and couldn't ship anything out but sent me an email about 3 times that day apologizing then they did 2 day shipping on the stuff. Great people.
