i just overcloked my radeon 9800 pro, i set it up so i have two configurations: the default clock speed, and a much higher clock speed. I only use the overclocked configuration when im playing games because i need to buy a couple more fans and the card gets pretty hot. I was wondering if i switch between the two clock speeds frequently if it would damage the hardware or if i should just keep the card set at one clock speed and keep it there.. thanks

Switching from one to the other won't cause any problems, but running the card for extended periods at the higher setting without adequate cooling won't do it much good, but shouldn't do any real damage (depending on what you define as 'much higher' of course) :D.

not that much higher..default clock is 378/324...OC'd to 465/375 so i could run farcry on max settings...heh heh maybe that wasnt such a good idea because of the stock cooling, but i noticed major graphical anomolies so i switched it down to 425/357 and its been running fine for now but i might turn it down a bit more or just switch only for playing games. thanks for the help
