I have Logitech X-530's and recently I've been getting clicking sounds from the speakers. They happen when I'm idle or browsing for example. I'm not sure whether this is a hardware issue or not. Any help would be appreciated.
So it's random? That IS odd.
Sometimes you get 'dirty power' and that can cause noise in your speakers. Do you have anything high powered on the same electrical outlet or circuit? They make simple line conditioners at most electronics stores that solve these sort of things.
I doubt a dying amplifier would make random clicking noises before kicking the bucket. Usually they blurt and die without notice. lol
The other possibility is the PC hardware causing it. You are overclocked, so this may be a side effect of something not liking to be run out of spec.
Just tossing some ideas out there...
If they are still under warranty, give Logitech a call. I recently did an rma with a pair of Z5300's and they just sent me a new set. I didn't have to send the old ones back either and the new set came in less than a week.

I'd try hooking up a different set of speakers before rma'ing and see if there is still clicking. Heck, just unhook them from your pc, and if they still click you know your pc/soundcard isn't the source. Seems logical to me. :D
